Safety Guidelines: Hook-On Chair

At Lalo, your child's safety is our top priority. Before using your Hook-On High Chair, please take a moment to review the following safety information to ensure proper use at home and on the go.

Important Warnings

Failure to follow all warnings and instructions could result in injury or death.

To Prevent Falls:

ALWAYS use restraints and adjust them snugly.

Keep your child in view at all times.

Before and after seating your child, check the stability of the table to prevent tip-over.

NEVER Use Hook-On Chair With: Glass tabletops, table leaves, single pedestal tables, tablecloths or placemats, loose or unstable tabletops, card tables

Avoid use if nearby structures may let child push off. NEVER Use With:

Chairs or stools directly underneath

Table legs the child can reach

Countertops below the table (e.g. kitchen islands)

Use Only If:

Your child can sit upright without assistance

Your child is under 37 pounds (16.8 kg)

The table is between 0.8 and 2.95 inches thick (20–75 mm)

General Safety Guidelines:
Do not use the product if any part is broken, torn, or missing - or if fasteners are loose.

Do not use without all tips (like suction cups or other locking mechanisms) secured tightly to the table surface.

Discontinue use if child, when seated in hook-on chair is able to move the chair arms on the table top.

Do not allow other children to climb or play near the Hook-On Chair while in use.

Do not use with children under 6 months old.

Before removing child from hook-on chair, be sure child’s legs are free from hook-on chair supports.

Always remove child first before detaching the chair from the table.

Never fit or lock the chair to a table with the child already seated.

Stop using the product if the child is able to stand up or push off nearby objects.

Do not insert fingers into the chair’s mechanisms.

Ensure the Hook-On Chair is securely attached before seating the child.

Keep table and seat clean and dry to prevent slipping.

Not all tables are suitable for attachment of the hook-on chair. If in doubt do not use the hook-on chair.

Do not use the hook-on chair on a table that has any screws, staples, sharp edges, holes or gaps, on the top or bottom surface, which might injure the child.

Do not use tablecloths or other objects on the tabletop which might interfere with the proper functioning of the anchoring elements.

Do not attach the hook-on chair to drawers or movable parts of tables.

Routinely check any clamping screws and re-tighten them, if required. Check also the suction pads.

Never place the Hook-On Chair near heat sources (e.g., radiators, fireplaces, electric heaters).

Never leave the hook-on chair with the child seated in it where ropes, curtains or other objects may be used by the child to climb or cause the suffocation or strangling of the child. 

Always ensure that all hazards such as electrical devices, knives and hot liquids are kept out of the reach of the child in the hook-on chair.

Do not leave the chair attached to a table with the child still in it when not actively supervised.

When not in use, store the Hook-On Chair out of the reach of children. It is not a toy.

If exposed to prolonged sunlight, allow the chair to cool before use.
